Barry Potts founded CR Capital in 2015 and drives the company's vision and growth. Since its founding, CRC has acquired 3,800 units valued at $335M, producing average realized investor returns of 32% IRR / 2.35x ERM.

Before CR Capital, Barry was acquisitions director at Knightvest Capital, overseeing underwriting, due diligence, and acquisition of over 8,500 units totaling ~$1B in transactions. He began his career at JER Partners/C-III Asset Management, managing distressed commercial real estate loan work-outs and REO assets.

Barry holds a BBA in Real Estate from Baylor University.

Jimmy Driver joined CR Capital in 2021 and oversees portfolio management for the firm. His responsibilities include business plan execution for each asset, asset management and capital markets activities, and financial and investor reporting.

Before CR Capital, Jimmy spent seven years at Macfarlan Capital Partners, LP, managing a ~2M sq. ft. portfolio and overseeing all asset management and investor reporting. He began his career as an analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Real Estate Financing Group, underwriting commercial real estate loans.

Jimmy holds a BS in Finance and a Masters in Real Estate from Texas A&M University.

Andrew Gillespie joined CR Capital in 2024 and focuses on supporting acquisition and asset management efforts. Prior to CR Capital, he worked at Freddie Mac, where he gained valuable experience underwriting multifamily agency debt and honing skills in financial analysis and asset valuation. ​

Andrew is pursuing a Master of Real Estate Finance at Georgetown University to support CR Capital’s investment strategies.

Drew Powers joined CR Capital in 2022 and is responsible for overseeing construction of capital improvements, ensuring each project delivers high quality, cost efficiency, and overall value for the properties. He works closely with teams and contractors to manage budgets, timelines, and project execution. Drew graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Construction Science and brings nearly a decade of hands-on construction experience to the team.

Mary Lovell joined CR Capital in 2025, supporting the firm’s capital markets, acquisitions, and asset management teams. She oversees investor relations processes, leads marketing initiatives, and develops operational processes to improve efficiency across departments.

Mary brings years of experience in operations, marketing, and public service and is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
